ABOUT Sharon Ehrmeyer, Phd, MT(ASCP)

Dr. Sharon Ehrmeyer is a Professor Emeritus, Department of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine at the University of Wisconsin School of Medicine and Public Health in Madison, WI. Her research interests focus on laboratory and POCT quality issues including the impact of mandated regulations on testing practices. She writes numerous book chapters, as well as journal and web-based articles on these interests and travels the world talking about them. Dr. Ehrmeyer has served on the Joint Commission’s Technical Advisory Committee and the Clinical and Laboratory Standards Institute (formerly NCCLS) Board of Directors. She’s currently a member of AACC’s Government Relations Committee and is the Regulatory Affairs section editor for Point of Care (The Journal of Near-Patient Testing & Technology).
